KEYSTONE INSTITUTE OF HEALTH SCIENCES
The Keystone Institute of Health Science is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Home Administrators to provide the 120 Hour Core of Knowledge Program. This course is designed to provide the information, knowledge and skills for those who are seeking initial licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator or those current administrators who are in search of effective and relevant continuing education credits. Our specialized teaching methods help to launch students into the successful future of which they have always dreamed. Keystone Institute of Health Science class modules are offered completely online with a training schedule designed to complement the demands of working professionals.
As a former student I can not begin to tell you how valuable this program has been to me. The information, resources, mentorship, friendships and colleagues that I will have forever are so valuable in this field. This program is taught by licensed nursing home administrators that live and breath long term care on a daily basis. The information that you will learn is from real life experiences. Although the classroom setting is a bit daunting the people you meet and the information you receive is far more than expected. I worked all week and went to class on the weekends and I would not trade the experience for any other. I waited till the end of the process to attend, however I recommend doing it at the beginning so you can learn the process to licensure. We entered the program as strangers but left as friends and colleagues forever! Kelly M., NHA

Our Students....
During your instruction, you'll meet students from all across Pennsylvania and usually, one or two other states as well! Backgrounds vary greatly as do the organizations for whom they work, including for-profit, non-profit, county and hospital based communities. Some are employed at stand-alone or small company SNF's, while others work for large multi-facility organizations. The one common factor is acquiring the 120 hour Core Of Knowledge education that is required for licensure as a Pennsylvania Nursing Home Administrator and the business contacts and friendships you'll make along the way.

It cannot be overstated how important this course was to building a network of professionals, both licensed administrators and other applicants with whom to share ideas, commiserate with while studying, and learn from. I'm happy to report that I passed my boards on my first attempt and it was in no small measure due to the knowledge and support I gained from this course! I would highly recommend the Keystone Institute of Health Services to anyone working towards their NHA license. Jonali D., NHA
